Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Premier

On the 7th July 2011 was the last premiere of the Harry Potter series. At 9:30am on the rainy Thursday morning my dad and I got in the car and started to drive to London. We got to Stockwell and then got the tube to Charing Cross. We started walking to Trafalgar square, the closer we got the more red and gold ties and excited muggles we saw. I hand my camera in my hand and my red Harry Potter wrist band around my right wrist. I kept checking it was there, without that, there was no getting in. We got to the square and it was surrounded in metal fencing, covered with the Hogwarts house symbols. We lined up outside for about 15 minutes and then the big security guard checked our wrist band and we were in, we quickly looked for a space close enough to see and then looked around us. There was a huge television screen with Harry Potter written on top of it. Every so often it would play the trailer or sneek peeks of the new film making everyone even more exited for the final thing.Thousands of fans waiting for 4pm went the stars would arrive, hoping that the rain would dry up and the sun would come out. There were news and television reporters everywhere, making us cheer in front of the camera. It was still early so we now had to wait.

It was 4pm, they should start to arrive soon, we all started to cheer and clap but nothing happened. We waited, wondering who would turn up first and then finally (after what seemed hours) the first car arrived. It was Rupert Grint! The fans cheered as he stepped out of the car and walked up to the platform in front of me. He waved and then smiled for the paparazzi to take pictures of him and then walked on up to the stage for Alex Zane to interview him for all the viewers watching at home. Then another black car arrived, it was Matthew Lewis! The Nevil Longbottom star stopped to sign autographs from the crowd and moved onto the platform. More and more stars arrive, including Jason Isaacs, Tom Felton, Michael Gambon, James and Oliver Phelps, Evannah Lynch and Julie Walters. Even more arrived and then a wave a sound and excitement rushed over the audience.
Emma Watson had arrived! Everyone pushed themselves towards the front being crushed against the bars trying to get Emma's autograph. I could see Emma signing autographs and people fainting and having to be taken out over the crowd. She moved up onto the platform and you could see her pale grey, floor length, ruffled dress. She waved at us and blew kisses, I took lots of pictures before she walked down to the paparazzi. I didn't know how it could get anymore exciting.

Other stars stared to arrive including Helena Bonham Carter, Ralph Fiennes and then Daniel Radcliff! When all the cast had arrived we walked over to the stage so we could watch some interviews. We then realised that Evannah Lynch was stood just in front of us signing autographs! I squeezed my way into a gap and stuck my autograph book over the fans. She signed my book and I was so happy! Then James Phelps came over to us and signed my book. It was brilliant!

Then Dan, Emma, Rupert and J.K.Rowling all entered the stage and made there speeches, everyone on stage and all the fans were crying, especially when J.K.Rowling made her speech. At the end of the speeches we all left to go home. On the way out it was a mad rush to get the Harry Potter boards and posters from the fences and to get to the tube stations. We went for a walk around Trafalgar and as we were coming up to the M&M shop we saw Natalia Tena (Nymphadora Tonks) walking in the opposite direction with her friend. We stopped and quickly asked her for her autograph and then carried on to go home.

I was so pleased that I had seen everyone and had got three autographs! It was so much fun and I would love to do it again.
